Why are turtles so important? Turtles basically reflect the health of the ecosystem. By cycling nutrients between land and water, turtles provide essential nutrients for other organisms to exist. They also consume fish, plants, and small insects, keeping these populations in check. If we lose turtles, the ecosystem will crumble!
