Hi everyone! My name is Monika and I am a 4th year Undergraduate student at Queens University. I will be graduating this year with a major in Biology and minor in English. I will also be completing my Concurrent Education degree next year! I created this page to raise awareness about turtle poaching in the Kingston community. The project was inspired by my Conservation Biology course, which taught me how important each species is to the stability of an ecosystem. The project was also inspired by the heartbreak I felt when hearing about turtle poaching in my own community! Aside from this project, I am passionate about fitness and the being outdoors!:) I would be happy to answer any questions about our project.
Hi folks! My name's Darcey and I'm currently completing my 4th year of a BSc. in Biology with a minor in Gender Studies. I'm also currently completing a thesis project understanding the genetics of an endangered snake species! Monika and I are so excited to bring this project to the Queen's community. I care deeply about wildlife preservation and my hopes for this work are that we can make even a small difference in preventing poaching events among our turtle populations. My passion for conservation has led me to this work and I can't wait to see how far it goes!
